The traditional coastal town of Swanage has a great range of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants lining its sandy beach. The town has a backdrop of rolling hills, making it a great choice for those wishing to walk. The South West Coast Path, Ballard Down, and Durlston Country Park as all within easy reach. A steam railway line runs from Swanage to the charming village of Corfe Castle, which is home to castle ruins in the care of the National Trust as well as picture-postcard streets to explore. You can enjoy visiting the many attractions that are within 14 miles, including Monkey World, The Tank Museum, RSPB Arne, Studland, Tyneham village, and the walled town of Wareham.
Set on the third floor of an apartment building newly built in 2022, this contemporary property is accessed via a shared staircase. Once inside you are met with a generous hallway with the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner leading off it. Heading back into the hallway you will pass a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer before coming to the bedrooms. There are three to choose from, a twin, a double, and a king-size room with a TV and an en-suite shower and WC. There is a bathroom adjacent, which has a bath, separate shower, and WC. Due to the setting within the eaves, there are areas of restricted head height throughout the property – in particular the bedrooms, where care should be taken when moving around the beds.
The property is accessed through a shared path from the parking area to the rear, which has an off-road space for one car. Regret there is no outdoor space, however green spaces and the beach are within walking distance.

Swanage beach is 4 miles of golden, sandy beach. Sheltered waters, and lifeguards patrolling the beach in the summer months, makes it very popular with families. This beach holds the prestigious Blue flag award for beach cleanliness. Why not hire out a traditional beach hut for the duration of your stay, this will save you carrying your beach luggage everywhere. Pedalos can be hired on the beach as can deckchairs, although dogs are not allowed on this beach from May to September. Pier Beach is a tiny sand and shingle beach near the traditional pier, perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. The clear waters make it great for snorkelling or angling. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year.
Swanage Railway is a fantastic and exciting way to see the Isle of Purbeck in style. This heritage railway has a steam and diesel train running the five and a half miles from Norden. It takes in Corfe Castle and Swanage with picnic tables at most stations for you to make the most of the day. Take a day trip to Corfe Castle, explore the castle and then make the return journey back. At Christmas, join the Swanage railway for a magical Christmas adventure for not only the children to enjoy but the adults too.
