Step outside your door to enjoy a leisurely stroll around the slow-paced village and visit the welcoming pub or stock up on supplies from the shop. The seaside town of Swanage, home to Old Harry Rocks, a pretty pier and a railway line to Purbeck, is just 1.5 miles from the cottage. 4 miles away you will find Studland Bay; a glorious slice of natural coastline made up of sandy beaches and picturesque heathland or you can venture 6.5 miles inland to visit the Hartland Moor National Nature Reserve.

Located within the wing of the owner’s home and all on one level, enter through a private porch area; perfect for storing coats and boots. Step through the French doors leading into the lounge and dining area. Cosy up in this space of an evening as you power up the electric flame-effect fire that is sure to warm you up after a day along the coast. The traditional kitchen is home to all the essentials you’ll need for home cooking before sitting down in the spacious dining area to appreciate it. The bright and airy bedroom is home to a double bed offering a restful night’s sleep and a basin.

Step outside to enjoy a south-facing unenclosed space complete with a seating area and distant sea glimpses to the Isle of Wight. Whether you start your morning with a coffee as you appreciate the quiet or enjoy a spot of al fresco lunch, it’s a wonderful space to be enjoyed at any time of day. There is ample shared parking with the cottage’s owner.

Langton Matravers is a village located between Swanage and Corfe Castle. The village has a village shop and post office. The village also has two pubs which offer traditional home-cooked food. Visit the local museum and discover the history of the quarries in the village. There are many footpaths in Langton Matravers, making it a great place for walking. The most popular trail is along the South West Coast Path to take in the sights of The Dancing Ledge. This is a natural formation of rock ledge, which at times makes the water seem as if it is dancing. Visit Keates Quarry and discover the many limestone dinosaur footprints. For a great family day out visit the Putlake Adventure Farm and let the kids explore while you relax with a coffee.
