Perched in the bustling seaside resort of Swanage in Dorset, is this wonderful two-bedroom duplex apartment, Bluebell. The property enjoys a fantastic location with easy access to the local amenities, beautiful beaches resting on the eastern side of Dorset’s renowned Jurassic Coast, Bluebell is a superb dwelling for couples or a family of four.

The private ground floor entrance leads up to the first floor where you will find a well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals for your loved ones and then enjoy the meal at the extendable table in the dining room which can seat six. After dinner, why not then enjoy a bottle of wine out on the rear terrace and enjoy the last of the day’s rays? As the evening cools gather in the sitting room for a family film night watching the Smart TV. The second floor is where you can wash away the day with a soak in the bath or refreshing shower; for your convenience, you will also find a separate cloakroom housing the WC. Choose from two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a bunk, both with plenty of storage for your belongings.

Right on your doorstep, you will find an excellent selection of eateries, whether it’s a sweet treat, fresh seafood, or a traditional pub lunch, there is something to suit every palette! For a fun-filled day, head down to Swanage Beach, where you can sunbathe on the sands, paddle the shores, wander along the scenic Purbeck Heritage Coast path or enjoy an afternoon of delights at the Santa-Fe Fun Park. Other attractions include the fantastic 19th-century Swanage Pier, the Swanage Amphitheatre and the popular Isle of Purbeck Golf Club.

Be sure to hop aboard the iconic Swanage Railway, where you can relax on a vintage steam train and soak up the exceptional views on offer for 6-miles. Swanage is a large, pretty, coastal town on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. The town has an array of shops, cafes and restaurants and is a great base for exploring what Swanage and the surrounding areas have to offer. Enjoy the charm and the atmosphere of the town, join in with regatta in the summer months. For those walking enthusiasts, enjoy amazing views along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. The chalky cliffs of Old Harry's Rock are spectacular and are well worth your time to visit. The rocks mark the most eastern point of the Jurassic Coast. Visit Durleston Country Park and Nature Reserve and explore the 320 acres of stunning countryside. Discover the vast species of wildlife and marvel at the spectacular views. There are plenty of water sports to try out here and great waters to try them out in.

Beaches

Swanage beach is 4 miles of golden, sandy beach. Sheltered waters, and lifeguards patrolling the beach in the summer months, makes it very popular with families. This beach holds the prestigious Blue flag award for beach cleanliness. Why not hire out a traditional beach hut for the duration of your stay, this will save you carrying your beach luggage everywhere. Pedalos can be hired on the beach as can deckchairs, although dogs are not allowed on this beach from May to September. Pier Beach is a tiny sand and shingle beach near the traditional pier, perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. The clear waters make it great for snorkelling or angling. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year.

Swanage Railway

Swanage Railway is a fantastic and exciting way to see the Isle of Purbeck in style. This heritage railway has a steam and diesel train running the five and a half miles from Norden. It takes in Corfe Castle and Swanage with picnic tables at most stations for you to make the most of the day. Take a day trip to Corfe Castle, explore the castle and then make the return journey back. At Christmas, join the Swanage railway for a magical Christmas adventure for not only the children to enjoy but the adults too.
