Within 0.5 miles, you’ll find a shop and pub, and within 0.6, a beach. Please note that this property welcomes one well-behaved pet, but does not allow smoking. After arriving and parking on the private driveway, soak up the sea breeze before climbing the steps to your home-from-home. Progress inside to discover an inviting living/dining room that is adorned with calming greys and blues, and features plush seating for you to relax on as you enjoy a Sky show on the TV or read a book from the selection at hand. Swanage is a large, pretty, coastal town on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. The town has an array of shops, cafes and restaurants and is a great base for exploring what Swanage and the surrounding areas have to offer. Enjoy the charm and the atmosphere of the town, join in with regatta in the summer months. For those walking enthusiasts, enjoy amazing views along this stretch of the South West Coast Path. The chalky cliffs of Old Harry's Rock are spectacular and are well worth your time to visit. The rocks mark the most eastern point of the Jurassic Coast. Visit Durleston Country Park and Nature Reserve and explore the 320 acres of stunning countryside. Discover the vast species of wildlife and marvel at the spectacular views. There are plenty of water sports to try out here and great waters to try them out in.


Swanage beach is 4 miles of golden, sandy beach. Sheltered waters, and lifeguards patrolling the beach in the summer months, makes it very popular with families. This beach holds the prestigious Blue flag award for beach cleanliness. Why not hire out a traditional beach hut for the duration of your stay, this will save you carrying your beach luggage everywhere. Pedalos can be hired on the beach as can deckchairs, although dogs are not allowed on this beach from May to September. Pier Beach is a tiny sand and shingle beach near the traditional pier, perfect for sitting and watching the world go by. The clear waters make it great for snorkelling or angling. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year.

Swanage Railway

Swanage Railway is a fantastic and exciting way to see the Isle of Purbeck in style. This heritage railway has a steam and diesel train running the five and a half miles from Norden. It takes in Corfe Castle and Swanage with picnic tables at most stations for you to make the most of the day. Take a day trip to Corfe Castle, explore the castle and then make the return journey back. At Christmas, join the Swanage railway for a magical Christmas adventure for not only the children to enjoy but the adults too.
